The Jackets beat Calgary 5-3 to record a regulation win in their first game under new head coach Rick Bowness. Blowing leads of 2-0 and 3-2 looked like the same old Jackets (all 3 Flames goals were on the power play), but they kept up the intensity through the third period, and Boone Jenner scored the go-ahead goal as part of a Gordie Howe hat trick.

Vancouver is a mess this season. They are in dead last place in the league, they traded away their captain, Quinn Hughes, and have lost 10 of their last 11.
Oh, and their head coach is Adam Foote. Yes, THAT Adam Foote. So I especially don’t want to lose this one.
Local product Kiefer Sherwood is injured, unfortunately, so he won’t get to dress for this hometown game.
