Game Thread #5(x): Blue Jackets vs. Penguins

The Jackets are back in action at 4:00 PM today in Pittsburgh.

This one again isn't being televised, and won't be on the radio given the OSU post-game, but you can stream radio via the Blue Jackets' website here.

We shall see if any of the physicality carries over from Sunday's slugfest here in Columbus. Both teams, having gone through some cut-downs, are icing some solid lineups, though Sidney Crosby is notably absent from the Penguins' lineup.

The Blue Jackets look to continue building the potential chemistry of the top line wings Cam Atkinson and Marian Gaborik, as those two will flank Brandon Dubinsky. Boone Jenner looks to continue his stellar camp with Ryan Johansen and R.J. Umberger.

On defense, the Jackets will pair Fedor Tyutin and Jack Johnson together, which is my expected pairing for the regular season. An interesting pairing to watch will be Ryan Murray with Ilari Melart. Perhaps the coaches are looking to protect Murray on the road by adding brute physicality to his pairing. Color me unsurprised that James Wisniewski is not making the trip, given the beat-down he put on Joe Vitale on Sunday.

Sergei Bobrovsky gets the start in goal today, with Jeremy Smith his backup.
