Game Thread #38 – Blue Jackets vs. Blues

Well, safe to say Marian Gaborik sufficiently #JTB’d last night. Tonight is Blake Comeau’s turn, as the winger joined the Blue Jackets in St. Louis and should play tonight, wearing #14. He will be on the fourth line in place of Colton Gillies.

The Jackets may also be missing a defenseman, though we’re not sure which one; Porty speculates it might be Jack Johnson. Whomever it is will be a game-time decision. Cody Goloubef is on emergency recall if needed, as Tim Erixon is unavailable and with the trade of John Moore the Jackets are suddenly more thin on D than maybe they’d like to be.

Sergei Bobrovsky gets the start in goal, and will go against Jake Allen. With Jaroslav Halak out, Allen is going to be Brian Elliott’s backup. The latter played a 65-minute game plus a six-round shoot-out last night.

This should be a good one, folks. The Jackets need the two points, and they sure could use them in regulation again.
