Game Preview: Putting Out the Flames

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Calgary Flames
Friday, December 16, 2016 – 9:00 EST
Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary, Alberta
TV: Fox Sports Ohio; Radio: 97.1 WBNS FM
Game Faceoff

When these teams last met, Columbus suffered through a listless 2-0 loss at home. November 23 also happened to be the last time Columbus went a game without notching points of any kind.

Tonight, Columbus has a chance to avenge that loss as they close out the season series against the Flames. The Blue Jackets are obviously on a hot streak, having won 7 straight games and notched 8-0-1 in the last night since the last time these two teams met. How better to continue this winning streak than to avenge the last loss?

Columbus currently sits 3 points back of the Metro lead with a few games in hand (seriously, can any of the teams at the top of this division lose? Except you, Philadelphia, we know you can, you have played 5 more games than we have, so I don’t really care about you).

There will be no lineup changes for the Blue Jackets tonight and, really, why would there be? This team has been on a tear lately and I have every expectation that they keep it rolling tonight.

Go Jackets. May the force CF% be with us.

(Also, go see Rogue One. Immediately after this game ends. Who cares that you won’t get home till 3 AM, it’s so worth it.)
