After another shutout in Toronto on Saturday, the excitement around this set of games against Ottawa is all but gone. The Blue Jackets were competitive a little over a week ago in Ottawa, let’s see if they can get the better of the Sens this time before welcoming them to Nationwide.

Player to Watch

Alex Ovechkin

If you didn’t hear, Ovechkin tied Gretzky’s goal scoring record on Friday night with a two goal performance. The Capitals play at 12:30 on Long Island and the Hockey world will be tuned in to see if history is made. Outside of rooting for the history itself, it would be nice for Ovi to break the record before the games against Columbus.

Just when things looked to be getting competitive for the first wild card spot in the East, everyone but Ottawa started losing. The Senators just shutout the Florida Panthers yesterday afternoon and now have an outside shot at catching them for the 3rd spot in the Atlantic as Florida has only won 3 games in their last 10.

Brady Tkachuk is doubtful for this contest with a shoulder injury.
