Dylan Cozens
At the trade deadline the Senators flipped an oft injured middle 6 center for a struggling middle 6 center in Buffalo. Since joining Ottawa, a bit of the spark from Cozen’s breakout season two years ago has returned. He’s put of 3-5-8 in 10 games and solidified the forward depth of the Sens.
Jackets Notes
The scoreboard has been kind to the Jackets this week. Columbus has climbed over the other wild card contenders in the standings and tonight marks the first of three contests in ten days against the team currently in the first wild card spot. Finally healthy, Columbus has won two games in a row and is looking to get on a roll and and take pole position in the playoff race.
The Other Bench
After many seasons of playoff expectations met with disappointment, Ottawa finally seems playoff bound. Brady Tkachuk is the house hold name bathed in four nations fame, but Tim Stutzle is the star. Jake Sanderson (son of CBJ legend Geoff) and Chabot are the engines on the back end, and Linus Ulmark has solidified their crease with former Jacket Anton Forsberg backing him up. Ottawa plays good defense and makes teams work to beat them.
