Game #72 Recap: Columbus Blue Jackets at Boston Bruins
Here’s what happened.
The Columbus Blue Jackets traveled to Massachusetts to take on the Boston Bruins on the heels of their 3-0 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. The Blue Jackets elected to start Joonas Korpisalo, giving Sergei Bobrovsky the night off. The team was also without Nick Foligno, who missed the game for a personal matter.
Nick Foligno is not with team due to a personal matter. This does not pertain to his daughter Milana. Expected to return to the team soon. #CBJ.

With two points on the line, here’s what happened.
The Boston Bruins opened the scoring early in the first behind a Patrice Bergeron power play goal.
Patrice Bergeron (also 2006-07, 2015-16) became the third @NHLBruins player in franchise history to record home point streak of 15+ games on three occasions. The others:

Columbus took few shots early in the game, but a power move from Matt Duchene equalized the score late in the first.

That would hold up through regulation, though a big Joonas Korpisalo save helped secure one point for the CBJ.

Conor McGregor sucks, go away.
Final
Columbus Blue Jackets 1 Boston Bruins 2 (OT)
Final Thoughts
It sucks not to get two points, but a point on the road at minimum was necessary.
The ice, apparently, sucked.
#CBJ players said the ice at TD Garden tonight, hours after a Celtics game, was "awful."

Duchene: "It was terrible. It was like pond ice back home in March. Probably shouldn’t have even been skating on it."
Western Canada next. Get six points.
Go Jackets.
