The Columbus Blue Jackets righted the ship for the time being after the trade deadline with Thursday night’s win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Now, the Blue Jackets must continue to take care of business on home ice as the they play host to the Edmonton Oilers for today’s matinee matchup.
The Oilers may not be deep, but they feature two premier players in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl who are capable of winning a game on their own. The Blue Jackets will have to clean up their defensive mistakes and limit odd man rushes to come away with the victory today.

Connor McDavid
The former MVP is on a four game point scoring streak and is third in the league in scoring behind Patrick Kane and Nikita Kucherov. He comes into the game with 87 points and averaging 22:58 per night. He will do everything for the Oilers and is a threat to score every shift he is on the ice.
