Game 6 Preview: Putting Out The Flames

Following a 3-1 win over Anaheim on Wednesday night, the Jackets will take on a Calgary Flames club tonight who were abused last night by the Red Wings.

With Anton Stralman back in the lineup and Kyle Wilson making his debut, the Jackets should get a nice jump from their additions, though the loss of Ethan Moreau will be keenly felt. Meanwhile, Steve Mason looks to continue his strong play from Wednesday night and continue to earn back the confidence of the fans.

The Jackets are also hoping to out draw last Wednesday’s record low attendance of 9,820…which is why I find it worrisome that everyone I talk to mentions having tickets to go see Roger Waters tonight.

For the Flames, they’ll put their hopes on the broad shoulders of Henrik Karlsson, a 6’5″ 210 Swedish rookie who had an impressive pre-season, but has never faced a full power NHL lineup.

Here’s hoping the Jackets make it an interesting day for him.

Fearless Prediction: Jackets deliver 30+ shots as they test Karlsson early and often.
