Game 42 Open Thread: Forget About the First Half

The first half of the season is in the books. While there is no resolution to the Mike Commodore issue, he is no longer with the team. There is however, the lingering thought of a player, or players being traded in the very near future. This can only serve as a distraction to the team as they embark on the second half of the regular season.

As a Jackets fan, you can feel the anticipation of a deal. I felt the same way right before the trade to bring in Sergei Fedorov. It was a desperate move for a GM who’s job was on the line- I can’t help but wonder if the situation the Jackets find themselves in now brings a similar result.

Here’s what we do know- the Jackets are facing the Kings tonight. The Kings are in a similar situation to the Jackets, both teams started hot but have been all over the map of late.

Mathieu Garon gets the start for the Jackets, and the lines are essentially the same as they ended the game last night. I thought Rick Nash looked terrible out there, it’s time for him to step it up. One player I did think looked good out there last night however- Fedor Tyutin.
