After an absolutely abysmal start to last night’s matchup with Carolina Hurricanes, the Jackets made it a one goal game before falling 4-2 in the third period. Columbus never appeared ready and, despite two goals in 25 seconds, never appeared to truly be in the game. Sergei Bobrovsky was chased in the second period and an empty netter by Sebastian Aho sealed the Jackets’ fate.
As a reward for that embarrassment, the Jackets head to Sunrise to take on the Florida Panthers, looking for a season sweep of the southeastern Florida team. Can the Jackets manage to get two points before heading to Tampa Bay? Find out tonight.

Aleksander Barkov
Barkov, snubbed from the NHL All Star Team, has 15-25-41 this season for the Panthers. Barkov, the second overall pick in the 2013 draft, has blossomed into a two way, 200 foot force. Barkov has 13 points in his last nine games and had a goal and an assist in the Panthers’ 4-3 defeat to the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night.
