Ranked as the #2 European skater in the 2015 draft, Carlsson was chosen 29th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 6’4”, 192 pound defenseman will be tasked with bulking up as the Monsters season comes to a close and over the offseason. Carlsson, a stay at home defenseman, registered 2-2-4 in 40 games with Linköping HC of the Swedish Hockey League.
The front office clearly has high expectations for the now twenty year old. Let’s see how he develops now that he’s in North America.
Welcome, Gabriel!
