Round 3, Game 39: Cam Atkinson vs. Sergei Bobrovsky
Atkinson (defeated Brandon Dubinsky, 115-78): There’s no shortage of great goals from Cam, so I’ll go with the most recent one. This is Cam scoring mere seconds into the start of Game 3 of the 2017 playoff series against Pittsburgh:
Bobrovsky (defeated Jack Johnson, 185-8. Yikes. Sorry, JJ): I’m going with a personal favorite here. You can just barely see me here, as the white hat about 5 rows above the Verizon ad. The Jackets needed a win in the final game to have a chance of making the playoffs. A key sequence in the win was Bob standing on his head to stop this flurry. The Jackets missed the playoffs on a standings tiebreaker, but this kind of play earned Bob his first Vezina Trophy.
