Dalton Prout Signs 2 Year Deal
The defenseman will remain with the Blue Jackets through the 2017-18 season.
Dalton Prout has signed his extension with Columbus. The defenseman was slated to be a restricted free agent this summer, but now his future in Columbus is secured. Best remembered and known league wide for knocking out Milan Lucic, Prout has registered 2-6-8 this season in over 15 minutes of ice time per night.
Dalton Prout will earn $1.25 million in 2016-17 and $1.9 million in 2017-18. A bit pricy for a 6th-7th defenseman in my opinion.
Seth Jones and William Karlsson are now the only 2 restricted free agents that must sign deal. Seth Jones- you're about to get PAID, my friend.
