The Jackets have a a solid group of prospects developing in North America and Europe, with six playing Canadian junior, seven playing American college hockey, and four in Europe. For the first time in team history, there is serious depth in the pipeline at the goaltending position, but outside of stud defender Ryan Murray, sidelined for the year with a shoulder injury, there exists a lack of surefire NHLers. That said, there are some intriguing prospects who could come out of nowhere to become solid NHLers, a la Cam Atkinson.

You have to be impressed with Boone’s production. At the pro level, however, he projects as a defensive center who can chip in with timely offense. He’ll be a go-to penalty killer in the pros, but in the meantime it’s great to see him score a bunch of points in his last year of junior.
I feel for Oscar Dansk. He’s a top-flight goaltender, one of the best in his age group, but he plays for a terrible Erie Otters team. Erie isn’t going to be bad forever-they have young phenom Connor McDavid after all- but this season Dansk hasn’t been able to strut his suff and his numbers have suffered because of it.
I’ve had the pleasure of watching Sedlak play when his Sagueneens visited Halifax to play the Mooseheads. The Sags were blown out by the high-flying Mooseheads, but he showed glimpses of offensive ability, and was noticeable in the offensive zone. I doubt we have another Kubalik on our hands, but he is a player to keep an eye on.
T.J. Tynan seems to already have his career mapped out for him. He’s the next Cam Atkinson. Undersized? Check. Prolific college goal scorer? Check. Represented the US at an international tournament? Check. Tynan will always be known to me as the guy we got for Filatov, for whatever that’s worth.
Is Seth Ambroz ever going to break out?
Mike Reilly is fun to watch. He’s an offensive dynamo, but will this translate to the pros?
Anton Forsberg is one of the best goaltenders in Sweden’s second league. Korpisalo is on-loan to a Finnish second-division squad, but has put up solid numbers. Between Dansk, Forsberg and Korpisalo, the CBJ have at least one goaltender there who can contribute.
Daniel Zaar- the next Sergei Mozyakin, or a contributor for the Jackets? His numbers shown above are for Rogle’s main squad in the Elitserien. He has also spent time on Rogle’s J20 squad, where he put up 8-8-16 in 15 games this season.
