So, Eric has started posting the Cannon Blasts series a few times a week. But, after the way Thursday’s comments section really took off, I thought it would be cool for our community to have an open thread on non-Cannon-Blasts weekdays for people just to hang out and chat… about hockey, or about other stuff.
So, this morning, we have a Game Recap to talk about. We have Ryan Johansen to talk about.

- It’s Matt Wagner’s Birthday! Bon anniversaire, mon ami!
- This morning was one of the coldest mornings I can ever remember in my 37+ years living in Ohio. What are some of your “worst” weather memories?
- I got the chance to skate Wednesday night on the ice at the Schottenstein Center, thanks to a former rec league teammate who works there and got some ice time for us to practice/scrimmage. It’s so much better than any of the rec-level ice in Columbus. For those of you who play/have played, what’s the coolest place you’ve ever played?/

Only one disclaimer: we’re not in the business of starting fights, so I’d politely ask that we keep things out of two specific topics: religion and politics. I know we drifted into the almost-political yesterday talking about government, but we kept it pretty non-partisan. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, though, in all my years, it’s that those are two subjects about which people’s opinions almost never change. So, let’s just not go there, OK?
