The Cannon Cast Episode 11: The playoffs are over

New, comment

This isn’t the ending we imagined, and certainly not the one we wanted

The Columbus Blue Jackets’ 2018-19 campaign has come to a close. In the newest episode of the The Cannon Cast, the Columbus Blue Jackets podcast from The Cannon, we talk about what we would’ve liked to have seen in the series against Boston (besides, y’know, two more wins). The future of the club is a big old question mark, something we devote more than several minutes to. We also chat about the Cleveland Monsters’ rough go against the Toronto Marlies in the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • How did we all take the series loss?
  • What do we think went wrong against Boston?
  • What lineup decisions should’ve been different?
  • Does Ryan Dzingel re-sign in Columbus?
  • What about Matt Duchene?
  • Will Jarmo Kekäläinen and Bill Zito do if John Davidson leaves?
  • Who stood out during the Cleveland Monsters’ run?

...plus a lot more.

Our theme music is the song “Green Eyes,” by Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons off of their album “Homemade Vision.” They’re a Columbus band who are working on an upcoming album called 4:30, so go check them out at angelaperley.com.
