Columbus Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets headed west last week and it did not start out well.

On Tuesday, the Calgary Flames scored three unanswered goals to take down the Jackets, 4-2.

Thursday was not any kinder to the Jackets. The Edmonton Oilers also scored four goals against the boys. However, this time, the Jackets were only able to score one goal.

All was not lost on the road trip! Last night, Josh Anderson came in clutch with a two-goal night. This helped propel the Jackets to a 5-0 win over the John Tortorella’s former team, the Vancouver Canucks.

The Monsters kicked their weekend off in Rochester against the Americans winning 5-2.

After the game, the Monsters traveled through the night to play against the Hershey Bears at home. Over 15,000 fans experienced their 5-2 win over the Bears. They also had a chance to see Alexandre Texier score three points in his home debut.

Almost 11,000 fans and a few dogs saw the Monsters take down the Bears, 4-1, on Sunday.

It was definitely a great weekend for the Monsters.
