Bruins at Blue Jackets: Quick Takes

Here’s what happened:

Columbus started quickly, jumping out to a 3-0 lead inside ten minutes. Goals from Scott Hartnell, Seth Jones, and Matt Calvert set the pace. Boston pushed back, scoring two goals in 55 seconds to draw within one after twenty minutes. Columbus appeared to fall asleep at the wheel and play lackadaisical with the lead, and it bit them.

The second period, well. The Bruins tied it. Columbus hasn’t attacked rebounds, hasn’t played their game, has been schooled in the neutral zone, turned the puck over too much. Other than that, the game has been okay.

The third period went end to end for awhile before, on a power play, Nick Foligno buried the go ahead goal. The first power play unit is beyond words good.

Zach Werenski officially set the club record for points by a rookie defenseman with 22.

The Blue Jackets hold on to defeat the Bruins for their thirteenth straight victory.

Are the CBJ good yet?
