Boll Activated, Mayorov to Springfield

The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated right wing Jared Boll off injured reserve and assigned right wing Maksim Mayorov to the Springfield Falcons, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced today.
Boll, 25, missed the last 14 games due to a foot injury suffered against Dallas on February 9. He has registered one goal and one assist for two points and 91 penalty minutes in 40 games with Columbus this season. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he has collected 21-24-45 and 828 penalty minutes in 331 career NHL games. He was the Blue Jackets' fourth pick, 101st overall, in the 2005 Entry Draft.
Mayorov, 22, has collected 1-1-2 and two penalty minutes in 10 games with Columbus this season. In 22 career NHL games, he has notched 2-1-3 and two penalty minutes. He has recorded 8-10-18 and eight penalty minutes in 34 games with the Falcons this season. In his fourth season playing in North American, he has tallied 61-53-114 and 78 penalty minutes in 248 career AHL games. A native of Andizhan, Russia, he was the Blue Jackets' fifth pick, 94th overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft.
