2022-23 Player Review: Liam Foudy found his game late in the season
Can he carve out a roster spot next season?
It was a rollercoaster of a season for Liam Foudy. He started off his season tallying two assists in his first game on October 23rd. He added an assist three games later. After that, he went scoreless in 31 games before scoring a goal on February 18th. To end the season, he went 7-4-11 in his final 27 games.
The Blue Jackets have a plethora of bottom six wingers, so it's hard to predict whether or not Foudy has a future with the big club. His play down the stretch was noticeable, but he will need to come to camp ready to earn a spot. He will need to beat out guys like Robinson, Bemstrom, Olivier, and Danforth to make next season's roster.

It only took 62 games. Foudy finally managed to score his first regular-season goal on February 18th in Dallas.

Low Point
I believe 31 scoreless games qualifies as a low point.
Report Card
B-
Has Foudy finally figured out the NHL? He has the speed of Eric Robinson but has slightly better hands and vision (at least in this writer's opinion). If he can earn a spot in training camp and play like he did in the final 27 games of the season, don't be surprised when he's a 30 point player. But that's a big if.
What do you think?
