Points are at a premium in a shortened hockey season and the Columbus Blue Jackets are doing what they can to stay in the thick of a crowded Central Division. After what feels like an all-too-familiar series split once again, this time with the Chicago Blackhawks, the Blue Jackets started the week with a rare one-game tilt at the Carolina Hurricanes (7-3 shellacking), before facing the Nashville Predators on Thursday and Saturday at home.
In this edition of The Cannon Cast we talk about:
- Patrik Laine benched after reportedly mouthing off to an assistant coach, is he long for CBJ?
- Thanks to guys like Laine, Jack Roslovic, and Cam Atkinson, the offense might be breaking out?
- Weird decision to use Nick Foligno in OT?
- Mikko Koivu retirement might give others more chances in the lineup
and much more!
Our theme music is the song “Green Eyes,” by Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons off of their album “Homemade Vision.” Angela’s newest album is called “4:30” and you should listen to it!
