Maybe the drama just needed to end for the seemingly black cloud over Columbus to be lifted. The drama of course referring to now-former Blue Jackets’ center Pierre-Luc Dubois being traded for star scorer Patrik Laine from the Jets.
And if Saturday’s 5-2 win over the Lightning — the first in the post-PLD era — is any indication, there’s a reason that spirits might be high as the team appeared looser already. With Patrik Laine now aboard, as well as Columbus native Jack Roslovic, the Blue Jackets have a big week ahead with some other notable Jackets’ alumni coming back to town.
In this edition of The Cannon Cast we talk about:
- PLD forced Torts, Jarmo’s hand
- Aftermath of PLD — for Laine blockbuster
- Laine longterm?
- Blue Jackets face familiar foes with Panthers this week, Blackhawks over the weekend
- Monsters schedule and NWHL
and much more!
If anything Patrik Laine should be bringing his tape of the Jets PP to Columbus. https://t.co/7vdNQqvPOg— Will Chase (@willgchase) January 25, 2021
Also apologies to Pius Suter — I think it’s pronounced “Pew Suter?”
