2021 NHL Draft: Columbus Blue Jackets select defenseman Corson Ceulemans at #25

With the #25 pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, the Columbus Blue Jackets selected Corson Ceulemans, a defenseman who will play this fall at the University of Wisconsin.

Ceulemans is one of the younger players in the class, having turned 18 in May. He may require several years to develop before making the leap to the NHL. He spent 2020-21 in the AHJL but had a great showing in the U18 World Championships. He scored eight points in six games (1G/7A) to lead Canada to the gold medal.

Read more about him in our prospect profile here.

Ceulemans is a right-handed shot, so along with Adam Boqvist and Andrew Peeke, that side of the defense is set-up for the future after the trades of David Savard and Seth Jones.

Welcome to Corlombus, Corson!
