In the hours after recording our episode last week, and not having any NHL new to report, it was announced the NHL was officially coming back this season as the league will begin the new season Jan. 13. On this edition of The Cannon Cast we get into all things hockey and Blue Jackets including:
- Blue Jackets back in the Central Division?
- How did Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre and Boone Jenner do in the ‘Greatest Name Bracket?’
- Rachel talks about what she’s looking forward to
and much more!
NHL/NHLPA went non-stop all weekend and continue Monday going back and forth on season protocols, transition rules, critical dates. The hope is to have it wrapped up over the next few days to set up a vote on each side by end of week. But as we saw in June, these things can drag— Pierre LeBrun (@PierreVLeBrun) December 14, 2020
As colleague @RussoHockey reported, Minnesota could swap again. Also hear Dallas is a possibility. Could be a few other tweaks. Clearly some governors on Wednesday's call who weren't pleased with the temporary divisions as presented. So stay tuned.— Pierre LeBrun (@PierreVLeBrun) December 11, 2020
