Jan Mysak spent the first half of the 2019-20 season playing in the Czech Republic for HC Livinov, a professional team out of his home country. While there, He made a strong showing on the stats sheet as he did not struggle to put points on the board.

After lighting things up at the U20 World Juniors, Mysak headed towards Canada to make his North American debut for the Hamilton Bulldogs. Yet again, Mysak did not struggle to score points. In fact, while in the OHL scouts were treated to Mysak’s playmaking abilities and his heavy handed shot which made netminders flinch a few times.

While playmaking and scoring sounds nice, Mysak needs to work on his skating. He’s not the fastest and sometimes his foot movements are clunky. If a team is confident in their ability to turn him into a decent skater, then Mysak will become a deadly player to have on future rosters.
