Brian Hedger of the Columbus Dispatch joins a super-sized episode to talk Columbus Blue Jackets with us! Hedger makes his Cannon Cast debut from Traverse City, where he tells us what he’s looking for from the team’s prospects (we recorded this episode on Sunday, before the CBJ lost to Dallas on Monday). We also chat about his thoughts for the upcoming season, what it’s like to cover Torts and other thoughts from around the beat.

Hedger is going into his third season covering the Blue Jackets and second for the Columbus Dispatch. Prior to Columbus, he spent 16 years in the Chicago/Northwest Indiana area and wrote for multiple media outlets, including, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Daily Herald, the Post-Tribune and the Times of Northwest Indiana. He also quit sportswriting once to write for the American Medical Association’s former trade publication, AMNews.
