The Boston Bruins won Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets with a Charlie Coyle goal 5:15 into overtime for a 3-2 victory.
The Blue Jackets shrugged off a 1-0 deficit with two third period goals from Brandon Dubinsky and Pierre-Luc Dubois that came 13 seconds apart. Unfortunately for the road side, Coyle tied the game with less than five minutes left in regulation to force overtime.
Both teams went 0-for-4 on the power play.
Columbus and Boston will meet for Game 2 at TD Garden on Saturday night at 8 p.m. EDT.
