It’s a bit of a bittersweet announcement, but one that is still welcome — we just learned that Joonas Korpisalo and Seth Jones have earned nods to the All-Star Game. Nick Foligno is the Columbus Blue Jackets rep for the ‘Last Man Standing’ vote.
Seth Jones and Joonas Korpisalo have been named NHL All-Stars to the #CBJ on Jan. 25 in St. Louis, while Nick Foligno has been tabbed as the team's representative in the Last Man In voting. https://t.co/SfA29ZNmIa

Jones has played in 39 games this season and has posted 4-18-22 after a bit of a slow start to the year. His defensive play has been stellar, especially of late. It is fair to say that Jones represents the strong CBJ defense that has done a great job of suppressing opponents for most of the season.
Korpisalo has a 17-10-4 record on the season and sports a .913 SV% and a 2.49 GAA. Korpi started the season slowly but has built momentum as the games have gone by. He has been working very well in tandem with the team defense — something that was necessary given the changes on the roster. Korpisalo is tied for the 3rd most wins for goalies at 17 and has played in the most games of any goalie, as of today, with 32.
His recent injury puts a damper on this news, but it is well-earned.
