In this week’s FanPulse poll, hockey fans were asked about teams who have produced unexpected results. First, some teams with hot starts were labelled as either contenders or pretenders:
I think the Carolina Hurricanes were an obvious choice for “contender” considering their appearance in the Eastern Conference Final last spring. I’m not sold on the other five making deep runs.
