This morning, it was announced that Rick Nash is retiring from the NHL:

Nash finishes his 15 year career with 1060 games played, 437 goals, 368 assists, and 805 points with the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, and Boston Bruins.

He still holds many Columbus franchise records, including

Games played (674)
Goals (289)
Assists (258)
Points (547)
Power Play Goals (83)
Short Handed Goals (14)
Game Winning Goals (44)

That being said, there are still mixed feelings since he requested a trade from Columbus while serving as team captain during that terrible 2011-12 season.

That being said, he will still go down as one of the greatest to wear the Union Blue. Congratulations on the great career, Rick, and all the memories in Columbus.

This is my favorite, what’s yours?
