2019 NHL Entry Draft: Columbus Blue Jackets select Dmitri Voronkov with 114th pick

The Columbus Blue Jackets have been quiet at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, thanks to their lack of picks entering the weekend.

Coming into Saturday’s draft, the team held just two picks, the first of which being #81 overall in the third round.

The Jackets traded that pick to Florida once they were on the clock.

With the 114th overall pick acquired in the deal, the Jackets then selected Dmitri Voronkov.

Voronkov, an 18 year old listed at 6’3” and 183 pounds, spent last season in the Kazan system in Russia. He was ranked as the #50 European skater by NHL central scouting.

Welcome to Columbus, Dmitri!
