The 2018 Free Agency Frenzy is upon us. It’s the time of year which reminds us not to get attached to players for inevitably they will leave your favorite team and you will feel immense amounts of pain.

Below is a list of those who have departed from the Jackets during free agency. Feel free to lament (or celebrate) in the comments below.

Jordan Schroeder

Leading up to free agency frenzy forward Jordan Schroeder was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for goaltender Jean-Francois Berube.

Jack Johnson

Signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins for 5 years, $16 million.

Thomas Vanek

Signed a 1-year, $3 million deal with the Detroit Red Wings.

Ian Cole

Signed with the Colorado Avalanche for 3 years at $4.25 million.

Matt Calvert

It appears Matt Calvert will be joining Ian Cole in Colorado for the next three years at $2.8 million.

Cameron Gaunce

Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Gaunce was part of the leadership core for the Cleveland Monsters during the 2017-18 season.
