NHL: Columbus Blue Jackets at Chicago Blackhawks David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

The Columbus Blue Jackets played host to the Chicago Blackhawks tonight in a matchup of serious underachievers this season. The Hawks are a disappointing last in the Central Division, a far cry from their Stanley Cup seasons of years past. The Columbus Blue Jackets have been consistently inconsistent, with no one knowing what to expect on a nightly basis.

After the loss in Philadelphia, Torts has against sent Zac Dalpe to the box while Jussi Jokinen returned. Sergei Bobrovsky got the start in net.

First Period

The Blackhawks opened the scoring early. The fourth line was burned as Jussi Jokinen coughed up the puck and the Hawks were able to take advantage just 1:28 into the game on a David Kampf deflection. Cam Atkinson was able to equalize with his first power play goal of the season.

Second Period

Chicago was able to regain the lead at 9:20 behind a Tomas Jurco effort. Pierre-Luc Dubois was able to tie it again following a great pass from Artemi Panarin.

Third Period

Sergei Bobrovsky made save after save to keep the Jackets in the game through the first part of the third period. Josh Anderson gave the Jackets the lead with 8:46 to go.
