68 GP/20 G/24 A/44 PTS/20 PIM

Blade Jenkins transitioned from the USHL to the OHL with ease this season notching 20 goal and 24 assists over the course of 68 games. Not only was he able to continually light the lamp, Jenkins was also able to match the intensity and aggressiveness of his opponents.     The best part of Jenkins game is his ability to adapt to systems which cycle the puck. He will excel on a team which utilizes Jenkins as both a winger and a center.

If teams are looking for a froward who can step in on the defensive end of things, Jenkins is not their player. He is a forward through and through. On the bright side, Jenkins can be molded. He will soak up any direction you give him and put it to work almost immediately. He is a development coaches dream.

Scouting Reports

“Jenkins also posseses good hockey sense. He has shown that he can be elusive and makek himself open for teammates to find. He can also play patience and wait for lanes to open up when he has puck possession. He can play the playmaker game, but at the same time, he can beat you with a very heavy shot.” – Dominic Tiano – OHL Writers

“Displays good vision and can go around defenders turning the corner to the slot area. Probably is more suited as a winder utilizing his quickness and strength on his skates. Has shown some jam down low in the scoring areas, but needs to be more competitive and aggressively go get pucks all over and on the forecheck.” – Bill Paczek – Draft Site
