Who is your favorite Blue Jacket of all time?

Let’s have a tournament to find out

NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins at Columbus Blue Jackets Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

It’s late July and we’re in the doldrums of hockey news. Preseason games are still two months away. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to run a tournament to determine this community’s favorite Blue Jacket of all time.

Step One: Everyone submits a list of up to 10 of their favorite players. The only rule is they have to have played at least one regular season game for the Columbus Blue Jackets. This doesn’t have to be the best players, per se, it can be any player that you had a connection with, or rooted for more than others.

Step Two: I’ll close the voting on Saturday morning, and draft a bracket over the weekend, seeded by the number of nominations. The size of the bracket will be determined by how many players are nominated.

Step Three: Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll have a series of posts where you’ll get to vote on the matchups and debate the merits of each player.

To submit your list of favorites, click here or fill out the form below. Feel free to share your list in the comments, and share with us any special stories about why a certain player is your favorite. Did you have an encounter with one? Is there a certain style of play you appreciate?
