Quick Takes: Jackets fall to Jets, 5-4

Well that was a change of pace

NHL: Winnipeg Jets at Columbus Blue Jackets
Foligno opened the scoring
Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Good news: The offense woke up, with 4 goals for the Blue Jackets tonight

Bad news: The defense fell asleep and allowed 5 goals.

Good news: Nick Foligno opened the scoring with a steal, breakaway, and snipe.

Bad news: The penalty kill gave up 2 goals to Jacob Trouba.

Good news: Brandon Saad had a great game, tallying 2 goals tonight for his 23rd and 24th of the season.

Bad news: Joonas Korpisalo had a night to forget. He didn’t get much help, he was hung out to dry frequently, but there were still saves that he should have made and didn’t.

Worse news: Korpi got outplayed by Eric Comrie, a rookie goaltender making his NHL debut.

Good news: The Boone Jenner at center experiment may be worth it. His line with Hartnell and BJORKSTRAND was solid all night.
