Today the Blue Jackets activated forward Boone Jenner from the IR. In a corresponding move, Markus Hannikainen was sent to the Cleveland Monsters. Note: although Hannikainen is on a one-way contract, he is still waiver exempt because he has played less than 3 seasons or 70 games. Sam Vigneault was also assigned to the Monsters.
Boone’s unique combination of skill and physicality is something that this lineup has sorely missed, even as they’ve earned a 5-2-0 record in his absence.
Even more interesting is the lines at practice today:

John Tortorella says that Boone is “day-to-day” so he’s not confirmed to play tomorrow yet, but it seems highly possible that we will see him tomorrow against the Kings.
I like that each line has both skill and grit. Playing with Boone should help both Foligno and BJORKSTRAND.
