Elliotte Friedman is “hearing” that Josh Anderson is going to stay in Columbus to the tune of a three-year deal.
Hearing Josh Anderson is going to take the three-year deal in CLB and sign. $1.85M AAV. End of the day, players want to play.
— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) October 3, 2017
Friedman was the first person to report Anderson had requested a trade last week (which was later confirmed by himself and Aaron Portzline) after the two sides had been, reportedly, about $150,000 apart in negotiations.
Portzline has since confirmed Friedman’s report.
The 23-yard-old winger is looking to improve upon his 17 goal season this year.
As of 10:30 p.m. ET, the Blue Jackets have not confirmed the deal.
