The Jackets have been here before; two other times, in fact. After losing their first eight, the Jackets won two in a row. They then stumbled and lost two in a row. They won two *more* in a row, before losing in Anaheim and then blowing a third period lead against Vancouver. Then, two more wins.
So, here we sit, with the team trying to get over the hump and string together more than two uninterrupted wins at a time.
It will be no easy task, as St. Louis comes to town having won last night and looking very good. At EV, they are one of the best possession teams in the league, and the Jackets' struggles in their own zone are well known and often lamented here at The Cannon.
The Jackets catch a break with a couple of days' rest with no travel while the Blues played last night in St. Louis. Take every advantage where you can find it.
It looks like Columbus is going to continue with the lineup they iced on Saturday with a tweak or two in the lines, per Portzline. We shall see, as morning skate was optional.
Jared Boll plays his 500th game for the CBJ tonight. He's been a bit of a lightning rod over the years, but let it be stated that no one should ever question his heart or his love of playing for this team.
