The Jackets went off the board to select winger Tyler Bird in the fifth round. He was playing high school hockey last year, and is bound for Brown University this fall.
Stats:
There's not a lot to know about Bird at the moment, unless you closely scout high school hockey. He does have the size and stats that indicate he can be a player. Off the board, but we'll see how it turns out.
