For the final Chicago version of Three Questions of the season--and the Central Division Era, for that matter--we again called on Greg Boysen from Second City Hockey. What's up, Greg?
1. So, the Blackhawks have lost two in a row. How much does it suck to have had a 24-game point streak to start the season, and yet only be four points in front of Anaheim who has a game-in-hand?
GB: Nothing sucks about being atop the Western Conference. The Hawks have pretty much secured themselves a top 2 seed in the playoffs, if the Ducks surpass them so be it. The President's Trophy doesn't mean anything without a Stanley Cup; just ask the Sedins. This team understands that, and is on a mission for post season success.
2. What "need" will the Hawks look to fill via trade as the deadline approaches? Or, are they confident enough to stand pat?
GB: The Blackhawks still need a true 2nd line center and/or some size for a playoff push. A guy like Mike Ribeiro in Washington would be a perfect "rent a player" for a Cup run if the is price is right. Rumors have the Hawks interested in Ottawa's Chris Neil which I hope are untrue. With Dan Carcillo, Brandon Bollig and Jamal Mayers already on the roster we don't need another bum. If Stan Bowman is talking to Ottawa I would rather have Guillaume Latendresse than Neil.
3. Seriously, how in the hell did Chicago get three days off in a row after a home game this week? WTF??
GB: Finally the schedule Gods smiled on us. The 3 day break was well needed after playing 7 games in 11 days and having to head out on a 4 game road trip with the Big 10 basketball tournament in the United Center the next few days. The Hawks will get 4 days off after their game in Anaheim next Wednesday.

Our thanks to Greg for all of his participation this season! Head over to SCH for their game-day coverage.
