2011-2012 Regular Season Stats:

21 / 41

2011-2012 SuperElit Playoff Stats:

Another player who spent time in both the big leagues and his club's junior division, Collberg has been regarded as a skilled forward with excellent skating ability. He had a great World Junior Championships run with Team Sweden that many thought put him on par or above teammate Filip Forsberg, but there are a lot of concerns about his size and physicality - especially playing against older players compared to guys his own age. That seems to have been borne out by the wide selection of donuts he produced on Frolunda's SEL club compared to his numbers on the U20 squad, but he might still be able to build up his body as he adjusts.

Scouting Report:

Stats don't tell the full story as Collberg has had trouble finding playing time this season, which started with a lengthy stint in the Elitserien. Collberg is one of the most intriguing offensive talents in the draft and his shot is arguably the most lethal in the draft. Collberg plays with a lot of flair in his game, and when he's getting offensive opportunities his shot is a tremendous asset to his game. Being a little undersized, Collberg needs to continue to add strength to his game and prove thatt he can battle through tight defenses and avoid being neutralized by physical teams.

The Scouting Report

Why He'd Be A Good Fit In Columbus:

The Jackets have some good centermen in the prospect pool, but the club is starting to get really weak on the wings. Adding a talented scoring winger who could add a very dangerous shot and quick skating ability to the team's arsenal seems like a great idea. The major concern is his frame. Collberg will be attending the NHL combine next week in Toronto - any team interested in him is going to see what he looks like when subjected to the rigorous physical tests. If he seems to have the potential to grow, he could be a very interesting late first round / early second round pick.
