Game 48 Open Thread: Keep on Truckin'

New, comments

I don't want to jinx it, but the Jackets have been putting up points in the standings these past few games. What makes me wonder about this team though, is that lately they have been either winning or forcing overtime against good teams, but haven't looked their best. I can only imagine what kind of streak the team can go on if they get consistent high-level efforts from everybody. The Jackets are a talented team, they just need to put all of the pieces together. Lately, they are coming close to having all of those pieces in place.

Tonight will serve as a solid test as to whether or not the Jackets have figured things out under the new coaches, and are putting everything together. The Blues are a physical team that relies on wearing the opposition down. They have a stud in net with Jaroslav Halak, and they have two mean-ass forwards who can score in David Backes and T.J. Oshie.

The Jackets will swap Jan Hejda and Anton Stralman, with Strals getting the seat in the pressbox. Otherwise, same lineup as last game. Mase gets the start.

Looking forward to this one, go Jackets!
