I have but one request. WIN. Just win the damn game! I don't care what it takes, score more than Edmonton and beat them into the ground.
And away we go!
An update from from Edmonton. Important things to know: Mathieu Garon will start tonight. No plans on sending Mike Commodore to Syracuse, and Kris Russell is our best defenseman. Got it.
Probable lines for tonight:
The team's fitness is coming into question now. Maybe it was the problem all along. Maybe not.
Tonight's game will either move us farther away from last place, or put us in a tie for it. Needless to say, these two teams are awful.
Former NHL D-man Chris Chelios was recently pulled over and tagged with a DUI and speeding in Chicago. This isn't the kind of publicity a man of his character wants given his reputation of being a real stand-up guy. Shame shame, Mr. Chelios.
Injury updates. We're still a couple weeks from getting Marc Methot, and Derek Dorsett back. That time won't go by fast enough. I can't believe I'm awaiting the return of Marc Methot.
Puck Daddy lists 30 possible locations for future Winter Classics. Two Ohio stadiums make the lists, and either one would be fantastic.
The future of the CBJ.
Remaining promotions. Nothing sounds tastier than dollar dog night...MMM dollar dogs...
Quote of the day:
"There was a plan, a good one by our management and ownership, to give our players a little bit of a break, which seemed pretty smart in August," Oilers coach Pat Quinn told Sportsnet.ca. "But it doesn't feel, as a coach, very smart right now."
