New, comments

Everything seemed to start off well. A 2-0 lead for the first time in a long, long time. After that, the Jackets were outscored 7-1. Thats just disgusting. I certainly didn't think it would be that bad.

My only hope is that the fans continue to go to games, I know I am. I'm picking up tickets this week for a few games. I've been saying it for awhile now, don't give up! Forget about the coach, the streaks, everything, go and cheer for the team. Give them the support they need because they sure as hell need it.

And away we go!

Just like I thought. Team USA and Team Canada played one hell of a game last night. It took some extra time but the Americans left with the gold after a 6-5 OT thriller. I never knew how fun it would be watching the future stars of the NHL.

Three stars from the WJC.

Since trading Chris Clark , the Capitals have named a new team captain- Alex Ovechkin.

Quote of the day:

"Hitch is one of the best coaches in the league in my opinion. He's laying everything right there on the line for us. It's a matter of us going out and doing it. I wish I could give a reason for why these games happen, but I don't." -Rick Nash on the efforts of head coach Ken Hitchcock. (From the Dispatch)
