To go along with SB Nation's general NHL coverage, the page linked to in the title of this post provides network-wide coverage of the 2011 NHL trade deadline: Rumors, reporting, speculation, analysis, etc. The deadline is 3PM this afternoon.
I guess if Sopel wasn't going to re-sign here, and since we're basically out of the playoff race, this was pretty much expected. Losing Dawes hurts the Wolves way more than the Thrashers.
Should Shero make a claim if he has the opportunity to do so?
#Sens Anderson will start in goal tonight in Toronto. No other lineup changes for tonight's 7 p.m. game.

Newly-acquired goaltender Craig Anderson will make his first start as an Ottawa Senator tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Anderson was acquired Friday morning from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Brian Elliott.
I like the move. I've always said the Sharks need more White guys.
TSN reports that Boston has acquired Chris Kelly from Ottawa. The Senators will get Boston's 2011 2nd round pick. Unless I'm horribly mistaken, this trade boils down to a 2nd rounder for a third-line player. At this rate, the trade deadline is going to be crazy.
Chiarelli has said that he is open to moving the Toronto pick. Wonder if Sens would move Spezza for that? Also, there had been talk of them moving Phillips. They will certainly draft Couturier, assuming he is on the board, and moving Spezza could also enable them to get Landeskog or RNH as well as another quality forward in the late first.
Just a writer speculating, but they could be interested. If they or anyone else came calling, I would tell them that nothing less than their first round pick would even be considered. Opinions?
If he is, should Garth make a play? What should he offer?
