2011-2012 OHL Playoff Stats:
Subban is the top-ranked North American goaltender for this year's draft. He is being projected as a potential franchise goaltender, and could be drafted almost anywhere in the first round. He uses his incredibly quick reflexes to make saves, and is very athletic.
Subban is the second of three hockey playing brothers, his older brother P.K. is a blueliner for the Habs. Like P.K., Malcolm is aggressive, sometimes overly so, which can lead to gaffes between the pipes. His aggressiveness can be an asset, however, challenging shooters and forcing them to do something they don't want to do.
There are a handful of teams drafting in the first round that would love to add an athletic goaltender like Subban to their organization. It's highly doubtful he'll be joining his brother in Montreal, given Carey Price's status as the number one there, but a team like Tampa Bay, Toronto, Chicago or Columbus should be very interested in him. In all likelihood he'll return to junior next season before spending some time in the minors to hone his craft.Scouting Report:
"I see Malcolm as Carey Price. He's calm and poised. I find Fleury as more of an acrobatic goalie and getting out there, but Malcolm is very good with his positioning with outstanding lateral ability and quickness. He can make the big save to turn a game around, but he covers post-to-post so well with his butterfly. His leg extension is incredible and he has a very quick glove hand."

Why he'd be a good fit in Columbus:
It's no secret that the Jackets are in rough shape between the pipes. Though he wouldn't (and shouldn't) see NHL ice for a few years, the Jackets would be in a far better position from a skill and depth-at-the-position standpoint if they took Subban. It's a reach for the Jackets to use the second overall pick on him, and if they accept the KIngs' pick, that will likely be too late in the round. The Jackets would need to acquire a pick at very least in the middle of the first round to have a shot at him.
He would be the franchise goaltender this team so desperately needs.
