Blue Jackets vs. Flames

Columbus Blue Jackets (22-42-7, 51 pts) at
Calgary Flames (34-26-12, 80 pts)
Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary, Alberta
Sunday, March 18, 2012 - 8:00 PM EDT

The Jackets are right back at it. When you factor in playing last night at 10:00 EDT, losing an hour during travel, and the start time being an hour earlier than normal for this time zone, Columbus actually had less than 20 hours to rest from game to game. At this point in the season, that can't be fun.

But, this game has some intrigue: the Flames currently sit in 11th, just two points (though they lose some games in hand to the teams in front of them) out of the eighth spot in the conference. For the Jackets, they can actually win *another* season series. And, they can do it without losing in regulation. The Jackets have only lost once in three tries to Calgary, and it was in a shoot-out. So, there that is.

Nothing much to report in lineup changes. Dane Byers is back in Springfield. Ryan Russell draws back in for him. Other than that, it should be pretty much the same as last night. Enjoy!
