After a period of quiet, the Springfield Falcons jumped back into an abbreviated signing frenzy on Wednesday when they announced the free agent signings of center Chris D'Alvise and goaltender Paul Dainton.

D"Alvise had a respectable first season in Springfield, chalking up 23 points (11 goals and 12 assists) in 43 games. Prior to joining the Falcons last season, Chris started off the season with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. In 12 games with the Thunder, D'Alvise pocketed 10 goals and registered 7 helpers for 17 points. Dally was also a member of the Clarkson University team while Mark Dekanich was tending the twine for Colgate in the ECAC.

Paul Dainton started his pro career at the end of last season, also with the Falcons. Dainton went 2-2-0 down the stretch for the Falcons. He joined the club after finishing up his college career, also locally, with the UMASS Minutemen. In his four years in Amherst, Dainton amassed a 69-61-12 record. His GAA was 2.78, with a .908 save percentage.
